Youth Recreation/Youth Learn-to-Row

The St. John's Rowing Club offers Learn-to-Row programs for youths between the ages 12-16 who have little or no rowing experience. The goal of this program is for participants to learn the basics of scull and sweep rowing while still having fun and meeting new firends. The program will be taught out of the Quidi Vidi Boathouse, offering participants a chance to learn and become part of the rich rowing tradition at Quidi Vidi Lake.

Participants will spend time with Nationally Qualified Coaches and will learn in safe and controlled environment.  Participants will be educated on rowing commands, terminology, equipment, and basic technique as they are brought through the Rowing Canada Journey 1-2-3 Learn-to-Row Program.

For more information please email contact@sjrc.ca, phone (709) 576-0082, or drop by the SJRC Boatbay in Boathouse on Quidi Vidi Lake.
