Adult Recreation/Learn-to-Row

The St. John's Rowing Club offers Learn-to-Row programs for adults (25 and over) who have little or no rowing experience. The goal of this program is for participants to learn the basics of scull and sweep rowing and become more familiar with the sport. The program will be taught out of the Quidi Vidi Boathouse, offering participants a chance to learn and become part of the rich rowing tradition at Quidi Vidi Lake. Participants are taught by Nationally Qualified Coaches and will learn in safe and controlled environment. Participants will be educated on rowing commands, terminology, equipment, and basic technique as they are brought through the Rowing Canada Journey 1-2-3 Learn-to-Row Program.

Adult Rowers who have completed the Learn to Row, or those with rowing experience, can avail of a SJRC Adult Recreational Rowing Membership.

For more information please email contact@sjrc.ca, phone (709) 576-0082, or drop by the SJRC Boathouse on Quidi Vidi Lake.
